    Marines Dives into Life at Sea for America’s Lethal Crisis-Response Force

Ready, Partnered, Lethal. For the United States’ 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, it’s more than a motto — it’s the ethos of a life forged by constant training, teamwork under pressure, and the hard edges of coming of age at sea.

On Nov. 10, the new documentary series Marines goes inside the US military’s “force in readiness” in the Pacific. With unprecedented access, the series captures the unit’s rigorous training exercises alongside personal moments of young Marines working and looking out for each other.

What is Marines about? 

The docuseries embeds with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, revealing the unrelenting pace of drills, exercises, and real-world prep alongside the quieter moments that hold the unit together. Across four parts, the series follows young Marines as they forge tight bonds, find their footing as leaders, and balance duty with the pull of home while patrolling foreign seas.

Directed by Chelsea Yarnell, Marines is produced by Amblin Documentaries and Lucky 8 TV. Executive producers are Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Sebastian Junger, Kimberly Woodard, Greg Henry, Isaac Holub, and George Kralovansky, with Katie Goldstein and Arielle Kilker serving as co‑executive producers.

When is the release date?
