All American: Homecoming

Simone Hicks (Geffri Maya) is on a mission. After taking some time off from the court, the young tennis player from Beverly Hills is ready to fight her way back to the top. She enrolls at the elite Bringston University, a historically Black university in Atlanta. But when she arrives, Simone will have to navigate a new rivalry with Thea Mays (Camille Hyde), the ultra-competitive tennis prodigy who runs the team. All American: Homecoming is a spin-off of the sports drama All American — you can stream both shows on Netflix right now.

Break Point

This docuseries gives viewers access to some of the biggest names in professional tennis as a new generation of champions makes its way to the court. Break Point gets up close and personal with the top players in the sport as they compete in tournaments around the world with the hope of becoming No. 1. You’ll get to see the lives of some of the greatest tennis stars play out both on and off the court, from physical injuries and emotional heartbreak to triumphant victories — and every smashed racket along the way.

Carlos Alcaraz: My Way

 Carlos Alcaraz

If you’re looking for more Carlos Alcaraz after watching The Netflix Slam (scroll down for more on that one), you’re in luck — this docuseries gives fans an inside look at the young tennis superstar on and off the court. Alcaraz opens up about what it takes to become a champion in the sport, while also wanting to enjoy ordinary moments with his friends and family. “People are going to get to know everything you don’t see on a tennis court,” Alcaraz told Netflix earlier this year. “I think it’s something very different.”

Do Revenge

So this teen comedy about two friends who bond over their shared desire for revenge isn’t exactly all about tennis. But Drea Torres (Camila Mendes) and Eleanor Levetan (Maya Hawke) do meet at a summer tennis camp where Drea works — and it’s a match made in heaven. The conniving pair of teens quickly become friends and join forces as they seek payback from their spoiled high school classmates who have wronged them. Ball’s in your court to see how they do it.

Guillermo Vilas: Settling the Score

Tennis legend Guillermo Vilas is one of the greatest Argentinian tennis players ever with an impressive career, including winning four Grand Slam titles. But he was never recognized by the Association of Tennis Professionals as a No. 1 player. Settling the Score follows Argentine sports journalist Eduardo Puppo’s investigation into the ATP’s stats — and his efforts to prove that Vilas was wrongly denied the No. 1 world ranking in the ’70s.

Naomi Osaka

This intimate three-part docuseries takes fans inside the life of one of the world’s best tennis players, Naomi Osaka. From Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Garrett Bradley (Time) and executive producer LeBron James, the series follows Osaka from 2019 to 2021 as her popularity exploded after her memorable victory over Serena Williams at the 2018 US Open. Naomi Osaka follows the tennis star as she explores her cultural roots and navigates her identity as an internationally recognized athlete and leader on the rise.

The Netflix Slam

Take a courtside seat for this one-of-a-kind matchup, which was filmed live in March 2024 but can be watched anytime you feel like witnessing two tennis greats at work. The Netflix Slam was headlined by 22-time Grand Slam men’s singles title champion Rafael Nadal, who faced off against world No. 2 and fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. You’re gonna love this one.

Untold: Breaking Point

This documentary delves into the life of tennis player Mardy Fish, and chronicles his training as a teen, his tennis career and competition in adulthood, and his struggle to find major success. A pivotal moment in his career, Untold: Breaking Point details Fish’s emergence as a powerhouse on the ATP tour in 2010, before everything comes to a crashing halt as he begins to experience severe anxiety. After seeking professional help, Fish’s new goal is to destigmatize mental health issues and provide other athletes with someone they can look up to, and a model to follow.
