The Addams Family’s world gets even bigger in Wednesday Season 2, Part 2, now streaming. Gen Z horror standout Jenna Ortega leads the altogether ooky drama’s cast as the titular supernatural detective Wednesday Addams. The new season explores a new bone-chilling mystery at Nevermore Academy, as well as characters both familiar and strange to Wednesday fans.
“Wednesday Season 1 was a table setter, but there’s still so much of the world left to see. It’s been exciting to expand the scope and the vision of the show this season,” executive producer Alfred Gough said. Fellow co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar agreed, saying, “We have a broader canvas and more toys to play with. The world of Nevermore is much expanded — and we had a great time doing it.”

Grandmama Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley) is one of the many new characters welcoming viewers to Wednesday’s sweeping Season 2. You can see the fashionable matriarch in the Addams family portrait above, alongside Wednesday, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Gomez (Luis Guzmán), and the rest of the uncanny clan. Plus, give some snaps to the character art below.
So who’s who in the Addams family tree? And what friends, foes, and Nevermore newcomers will you find in Season 2? Well, fix your pigtails and dive like hungry piranhas into this complete Wednesday cast guide. You’re going to want to memorize these faces like you’re prepping for Nevermore’s toughest midterm exam.

Wednesday used to think that no school could ever feel like home — until she prowled the halls of Nevermore Academy. In Season 2, she returns to the Gothic grounds, where fresh foes and woes await. Razor-sharp witted Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem.
For Season 2, Ortega has taken on the expanded role as a producer. “I’ve learned so much this season. It’s been so cool being a part of conversations — talking about the color of blood or the color of prosthetics,” Ortega said. “To be able to learn from someone like Tim firsthand has been a very special experience.”
All of these discussions only energized Ortega more onscreen. The Emmy nominee was excited to step back into her character’s Mary Janes once again for Season 2. “Wednesday Addams is one of the coolest characters of all time, so to have gotten the opportunity to play her once was incredible, and then to be able to slip into the costume and tone again, it’s so much fun,” she said. “She runs circles around everyone that she has a conversation with. Getting to play someone who’s so much more intelligent than you will ever be is quite funny and strange and enjoyable.”
Ortega played fan-favorite Los Angeles teen Ellie in You Season 2. She also starred in horror movies The Babysitter: Killer Queen, Scream, Scream VI, X, and Burton sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

If Wednesday is the brain of the Addams family, Pugsley just might be the heart. Sweet Pugsley brings out the protective side of his supposedly heartless big sister. In Season 2, he enters the supernatural fray that is Nevermore Academy as a student — and he’s bringing some electrifying new powers with him. However, Pugsley’s new schoolmates don’t exactly seem impressed.
“Pugsley isn’t easily accepted. He really wants to fit in and he really wants a friend,” Ordonez said. “As far as making friends goes, it’s not looking very good.”
Ordonez previously appeared in Chromeo’s music video for “Must've Been.”

Thing returns as Wednesday’s confidant, helper, and ongoing tie to her Addams family roots.
The character is played by Romanian magician Dorobantu. “Over the course of the three years we’ve been making the show, Victor has become so dexterous and adds so much personality to his performance,” Millar said. “When you watch Thing on-screen, he expresses such innate humanity. It looks simple, but it’s not. Victor can do so much with so little.”
Wednesday is illusionist Dorobantu’s first on-camera role.

Gomez is Wednesday’s beloved father and Morticia’s passionate husband. Gomez and Morticia met and fell head over heels in love during their younger days at Nevermore. Their ardor continues to burn blindingly bright today.
“Gomez Addams is one of the most loving individuals that you will ever meet in this world, galaxy, or universe,” Guzmán said. “He’s a very loving father, very loving husband. He definitely is a family man.”
Guzmán received a cast SAG award for his performance in drama Traffic. You can find him in everything from crime drama Havoc to animated series Entergalactic.

Morticia, the definition of spooky glamour, is Wednesday’s mother and a main source of embarrassment for her teenage daughter. Well, the familial cringe will be closer to home than ever for Wednesday in Season 2 — Morticia is moving to campus. Wednesday’s mom has accepted an important philanthropic position at Nevermore, putting her right in her daughter’s backyard.
“Morticia and Wednesday’s relationship lends itself to times of separation,” Zeta-Jones explained. ”The family being more associated with Nevermore is a little bit of a thorn in Wednesday’s side.”
Zeta-Jones won an Oscar for dazzling audiences as Velma Kelly in Chicago. She has starred in The Mask of Zorro, Traffic (alongside her on-screen husband Guzmán), and Ocean's Twelve, among other hit movies.

The Addams family is getting a little more mysterious, and a little more spooky. Meet Grandmama Hester, Morticia’s formidable mother. She is the fabulously wealthy mogul behind Frump Mortuaries — one of the most successful outcast-owned businesses in the country. Immaculately coiffed, emotionally cold, and armed with a razor-sharp tongue, Hester is calculated in everything she does, from running her empire to managing her family’s legacy.
Wednesday’s co-creators promise Hester will bring a “different mother-daughter relationship” to Wednesday. “Wednesday and Hester get along great. Other than Fester, her Grandmama is probably Wednesday's favorite person and the one she feels the most kinship with,” Gough said. “Hester is also somebody Wednesday can use against her mother. It’s a delicious family triangle to set up.”
Lumley was made a Dame in 2022 for her achievements in drama, entertainment, and charity. She led touchstone British comedy Absolutely Fabulous, and appeared in crime drama Fool Me Once and Burton animated romance Corpse Bride.

The Addams’ trusty driver is as loyal as ever in Season 2.
Suotamo has appeared in many Star Wars projects. He has played Chewbacca across multiple films and portrayed a different wookie, Master Kelnacca, in 2024’s The Acolyte.

Wednesday doesn’t trust a lot of adults. But she does put her faith in eccentric Uncle Fester. He’s a master of the dark arts and always ready to work a telekinetic trick to help Wednesday solve her latest case. We just wouldn’t recommend leaving Uncle Fester alone with a bank vault.
“In Season 2, you get to spend more time with Fester. You see that he is helpful,” Armisen said. “He really does put himself in what you would think is harm’s way to help Wednesday. He really makes it his business to help Wednesday out.”
Armisen is a prolific performer, appearing in his special Fred Armisen: Standup For Drummers, comedies Unfrosted and I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, and even animated children’s film Thelma the Unicorn.

Once upon a time, this former barista seemed like a regular normie. But in Season 2, the entire town of Jericho now knows Tyler is hyde-ing a dark and deadly truth. Following his Season 1 rampage, Tyler was moved to Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility for care and monitoring. Now, he’s free — and teaming up with one very special ally … his mom, Francoise (Frances O’Connor).
“That relationship is everything to him. That’s his driving force, to keep the one person who truly loved him back in his life. But then it comes with all these complicated layers,” Doohan says. “Francoise is not really giving Tyler the kind of love he wants from her. So there is this real longing and pleading for him in the back half of the season, which was just a really fun color for Tyler to have.”
Doohan explored his villainous side in Daredevil: Born Again. You can also find him in legal drama Your Honor.

This mysterious outcast has been trapped in the bowels of Willow Hill for the past 15 years as a captive in the secretive LOIS program. Now she’s free to reveal her true identity. Francoise is Tyler’s mother and a formidable Hyde. Long presumed dead, Francoise — previously known as Patient 1938 — has one clear mission. She’s determined to reunite with her family … and settle old scores. The Addams Family better snap to attention.
The Aussie actor was nominated for two lead actress Golden Globes for her performances in mystery The Missing and TV movie Madame Bovary. You can also find her in Go Karts and Troy: Fall of a City.

This outcast was initially introduced as Slurp, a mindless zombie resurrected by Pugsley. But Slurp’s undead exterior is hiding dangerous a secret — he’s actually Isaac Night, Francoise’s brother and Tyler’s uncle.
Brilliant and arrogant, Isaac is a telekinetic outcast, aka a Da Vinci. He was Gomez’s best friend during their student days at Nevermore. Presumed dead after a tragic lab explosion atop one of the school’s iconic clocktowers, Isaac returns with a dark agenda that threatens the very heart of the Addams family.
“People do drastic things for the people that they love,” Painter says of Isaac’s actions. “I haven’t thought about it in those terms much at all, especially because it’s so fun to play a bad guy.”
Before he got a taste for brains (and kidnapping schemes), Painter appeared in Tiny Beautiful Things and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Enid is all vivid colors, warm fuzzies, and school spirit. Although Wednesday wouldn’t expect to find her best friend in her polar opposite, weirder things have happened at Nevermore. This cheery werewolf is continuing to find her way on her lupine journey — and it’s going pretty well.
“She’s been to a few werewolf music festivals, maybe dated around the pack a little bit, met some new friends, and finally found a pack that she’s fitting in with,” Myers said. “She’s definitely grown as a person, because now she has fully unlocked her werewolf abilities.”
Wednesday’s ray of sunshine has also brightened up mystery series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and comedy Family Switch.

Bianca is a siren and Nevermore’s queen bee — until Wednesday stalks into the picture. By Season 2, these two have found common ground and the makings of an alliance. Bianca will be navigating her own complex obstacles this season as she handles the awesome responsibilities that come with being a siren.
“Wednesday and Bianca have much bigger problems than they did in Season 1,” Sunday said. “There’s still that friendly competition between them, but there’s also a lot more on their plates this season. This time, they need to find a way to come together so they can help each other out.”
Sunday appeared in dramedy Dear White People.

Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Ottinger (right)
Eugene is a sweet and nerdy Nevermore outcast who is defined by his passion for bees (and, really, bugs of all kinds). Through his friendship with Wednesday, Eugene becomes embroiled in the mysteries of Nevermore — which gives him unexpected popularity points with his fellow students.
In Season 2, Eugene gets even closer to the Addams family by becoming Pugsley’s roommate. But these two aren’t exactly BFFs just yet, according to Ordonez. “Eugene’s relationship with Pugsley is … well, he doesn’t exactly like him, but he doesn’t hate him,” Ordonez said. “Eugene tolerates Pugsley.”
Mostafa led sci-fi adventure The Last Bus.

When Enid introduces Wednesday to the wild world of the Nevermore social scene, she names four major groups: Fangs, Furs, Scales, and Stoners. Ajax, a gorgon, falls into the last category.
In Season 1, he won the heart of Enid. But, after a summer apart, she’s figuring out if Ajax still makes her heart flutter — or if her emotions have turned to stone.
Farmer appeared in in young-adult mystery Evermoore.

Noah B. Taylor as Bruno (left)
Was that a howl you just heard? Bruno is the newest member of the Wednesday pack — and another addition to the cast in Season 2. With roots in the Philippines and a brooding intensity, Bruno is the newest heartthrob at Nevermore — and there’s more to this wolf than meets the eye.
“On the surface, he comes off as a very charismatic, confident, popular jock kind of guy,” Taylor said. “But he’s a teenager, and so, of course, he has his own insecurities and vulnerabilities that he hides — as we come to discover throughout the season.”
Wednesday is Taylor’s first major role.

Evie Templeton as Agnes (left)
This young outcast is Wednesday’s stalker turned ally. Eccentric and delightfully unhinged, Agnes has the power of invisibility. Obsessed with Wednesday, she’ll do anything to earn her admiration — and friendship.
Templeton — a longtime fan of Wednesday herself — found it easy to portray Agnes’ appreciation for Nevermore’s top paranormal investigator. “Agnes was actually very easy to relate to,” Templeton said. “It’s not difficult to be a big fan of Jenna. She’s a very gorgeous person.”
This is Templeton’s biggest role to date. You can catch her as Frieda in Life After Life and Young Lisa in Criminal Record.

Nevermore has a new boss. Principal Dort is the ambitious new head of the Academy. The polar opposite of his late predecessor, Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), Dort embraces outcast pride to the extreme — advocating for normie exclusion in his mission to “save” Nevermore.
Co-creators and co-showrunners Millar and Gough explain that Dort will bring “outcast pride” to the school. “Steve Buscemi is such an amazing actor, and he plays a principal who is incredibly into Nevermore,” Millar said. “He wears purple, branded baseball caps, he’s basically Mr. Nevermore — and the opposite of the late Principal Weems, who was so put-together and chic.”
But could there be more behind this fiery outcast’s friendly demeanor?
Emmy-winner Buscemi has starred in dramas like Boardwalk Empire and Reservoir Dogs. However, he’s also not afraid of his funny bone, appearing in comedies Hubie Halloween, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and The Week Of.

Nevermore’s staff is getting a little bit bigger. Isadora is the Academy’s new head of music –– and a werewolf. A former child prodigy, Isadora is brilliant, intense, and enigmatic. She takes a special interest in Wednesday’s musical gifts, even though they tend to “rub each other the wrong way,” according to Piper.
“There’s a lot about the fact that Capri and Wednesday are both kind of control freaks,” the Dr. Who star said. “They like things to go a certain way — they’re drawn to perfection and they’re very methodical.”
Multi-BAFTA-nominee Piper co-starred in drama Scoop. You can also find her in Greek mythology dramedy KAOS and thriller Collateral.

Professor Orloff is Nevermore’s longest-serving teacher. A stern disciplinarian, Orloff prowls the school hallways, always on the lookout for troublemakers. It doesn’t take long for Pugsley Addams to end up on his radar.
Wednesday marks Lloyd’s return to the Addams Family universe. He previously portrayed Uncle Fester in Barry Sonnenfeld’s 1990s films inspired by the spooky clan.

Christina Ricci as Marilyn Thornhill (right)
One of Nevermore’s most dangerous teachers is back to darken Wednesday’s door once again. Marilyn — whose true identity is Laurel Gates, descendant of villainous pilgrim Joseph Crackstone (William Houston) — returns in Season 2. But, she’s no longer walking the halls of the Academy in her signature red boots. Instead, she’s behind bars at Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility for the crimes she committed as Tyler’s master in Season 1.
“Christina is just an amazing person and actor, and she brings such value to the show, and the character’s so wonderful,” Millar says.
Ricci initially charmed audiences as a bow-and-arrow-wielding Wednesday Addams herself, in Barry Sonnenfeld’s Addams Family films. Since then, Ricci has scored an Emmy nomination for her performance as the lovable obsessive Misty in Yellowjackets — and for her guest turn in medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

The former principal of Nevermore is back from beyond the grave. Following her murder at the hands of Marilyn Thornhill in the Season 1 finale, Weems returns as Wednesday’s new spirit guide. Sparks fly as these two former adversaries are forced to work together, whether they like it or not.
Millar and Gough had every intention of bringing back Weems for Season 2. “When we got into the writers room, we were determined to bring Gwen back,” Millar says. “The audience has fallen in love with the Wednesday-Weems relationship … so we’re bringing her back in the second half of the season in a very special way that is as confrontational as it is delicious.”
“I felt like I was returning to a group of friends who are all at the top of their game,” Christie says. “It is such a pleasure for me to be a part of this emotional world, this imaginative world, and play the character of Larissa Weems, who I truly adore and really thought a lot about bringing into being.”
Christie is an Emmy Award–nominated actor known for her roles in beloved franchises including Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and The Hunger Games. You can also catch her in The Sandman as Lucifer.

Put your paws up for Professor Rotwood. Rosaline was a Nevermore teacher during the 1960s and a powerful Raven with dark psychic abilities. She once served as Grandmama Frump’s mentor when Hester was a student at the Academy. While she died under mysterious circumstances and was buried in the school graveyard, legend has it that if a Raven recites the inscription on Rotwood’s headstone, they’ll be granted temporary psychic sight.
You can also catch the the Grammy, Oscar, and Emmy-winning pop icon Oscar-winning pop icon in the music documentary Five Foot Two. For even more tunes from Mother Monster, you’ll find her in the charity spectacular FireAid Benefit Concert.

There’s a new sheriff in town — literally. Sheriff Ritchie Santiago is the newly appointed Jericho sheriff. She has stepped in to replace the disgraced Donovan Galpin (Jamie McShane). Eager to prove herself, Santiago is sharp, determined, and unafraid to enlist the help of Wednesday when the bodies begin to pile up.
Lewis-Nyawo appeared in star-studded thrill ride Back in Action and British crime drama Top Boy.

Ex-sheriff Galpin enters Season 2 worse for wear. He’s lost his job. His town has turned on him. And Galpin’s son is an imprisoned monster. Could his situation improve in Season 2?
Wednesday’s resident law man also appeared in crime dramas The Lincoln Lawyer and Bloodline.

Judi is the mastermind behind the secret LOIS program and the enigmatic hooded figure who has eluded Wednesday. The daughter of Augustus Stonehearst, Judi hired Dr. Fairburn to serve as the public face of Willow Hill while secretly continuing her father’s dark legacy: extracting outcast powers to redistribute them to normies. As a result of her father’s experimentation, Judi herself is now an Avian — capable of controlling birds.
“It’s always fun to play somebody that is unexpected,” Matarazzo says. ”She wanted to surpass her father … She has a desire to soar and fly.”
Matarazzo is a Millennials icon, having starred in The Princess Diaries, Welcome to the Dollhouse, and Saved!.

The doctor is ready for you. Though a normie, Dr. Rachael Fairburn is considered a trailblazer in the emerging field of outcast mental health. She is best known as the chief psychiatrist at Willow Hill. However, she’s just the face of the psychiatric facility.
When Newton isn’t monitoring the patients of Willow Hill, she’s supporting the students of Big Mouth as the hormone monstress Mona. Newton also won an Emmy for her portrayal of mesmerizing Westworld inhabitant Maeve Millay.
