Lock your doors and listen closely for The Whisper Man, the chilling adaptation of Alex North’s bestselling novel that stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, and Adam Scott. The thriller film centers on a serial killer whose abductions are summed up in a sinister rhyme: “If you’re lonely, sad, and blue, the Whisper Man will come for you.”
But fear not: You’ll never feel lonely with all the new movies and series here to keep you company this month. The incoming batch of titles includes the animated series Ricky Gervais Alley Cats, about a gang of foul-mouthed felines and their feral misadventures; the sci-fi flick The Last House, in which Greta Lee and Wagner Moura play parents trying to survive a mysterious threat; and the coming-of-age dramedy Don’t Say Good Luck, starring Melanie Lynskey and Sunny Sandler as mother and daughter at a pivotal family moment.
Also among this month’s lineup are the final season of the young-adult drama Outer Banks, the insider-fueled football documentary MOURINHO, and the concluding installments of the Colombian adaptation of One Hundred Years of Solitude.
