There aren’t many perks to a virus turning most of the world’s population into deadly feeding machines. But hey, if you’re not big on driving, this is the place for you. In a new clip from the upcoming Resident Evil series, Jade Wesker (Ella Balinska) gets a glimpse at just what’s keeping survivors from driving through the countryside: a horde of Infected just waiting for a snack to venture into their territory.
The series follows Jade as she makes her way through the new world forged by the T-virus — and reckons with memories of the life she led with her father, Albert Wesker (Lance Reddick). That’s a name that should be familiar to fans of the Resident Evil video games, but don’t expect too many similarities; showrunner Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) is telling an original story that redefines the world video game fans know.
Resident Evil hits Netflix July 14. You can check out the full trailer right here.
