The Avatar: The Last Airbender Cast Didn’t Know What They Were Auditioning For

Three years ago, Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, and Dallas Liu went through several rounds of virtual auditions for a mysterious project they knew next to nothing about. All they had were decoy scripts with fake character names and lines about haunted tunnels, a father’s company, and secret powers. By the end of it, though, they would come to learn they were auditioning for the roles of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko in the live-action reimagining of Avatar: The Last Airbender — and you can watch both their auditions and the tear-filled moments when they each found out they got the parts.
