“Whatever it is, it’s on the house,” a bartender said of Tommy Shelby’s drink order back in Season 1 of Peaky Blinders. Now, in celebration of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the new film adaptation of the beloved series, you can get the same treatment.
From March 26–28, complimentary bar tabs will be available in 10 independent local pubs across the UK. Each participating pub will embrace a 1940s Peaky Blinders–inspired theme, with limited-edition merchandise and flat caps up for grabs. Guests are welcome (but not required) to don their best Peaky-style outfits.
The local pub is a crucial part of the Peaky Blinders legacy; it’s where plans are made, successes are celebrated, and comrades mourned. In The Immortal Man, Cillian Murphy’s resurgent gangster titan Tommy Shelby stalks into his beloved Garrison pub in search of his son Duke (Barry Keoghan), only to find a crowd of strangers uninterested in his story. That scene, which you can catch a glimpse of in The Immortal Man’s trailer, ends explosively. Your outing is sure to be a friendlier affair.
Directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, who created and wrote the hit series, the film stars Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy Shelby with a cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Academy Award nominee Tim Roth, and Sophie Rundle, with Academy Award nominee Barry Keoghan and Primetime Emmy Award winner Stephen Graham. Set against a bombed 1940s Birmingham, the film follows the legendary Tommy Shelby as he returns from exile to reckon with the legacy of himself and his family.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is in select cinemas across the US, UK, and Ireland now, and on Netflix March 20. In order to claim your complimentary drink, all you have to do is drop the legendary phrase: “By order of the Peaky Blinders.” You can find a list of participating pubs below.
