High school students Theresa (Jasmine Vega) and Jimmy (Aiden Howard) are very much in love, until they aren’t. When Jimmy breaks Theresa’s heart after sleeping with her, Theresa’s overbearing mother, Mary (Ana Ortiz), becomes obsessed with restoring her daughter’s virtue. At first, Mary simply encourages the teens to get back together, but after being rebuffed multiple times, she turns to Anna (Grammy-winning recording artist Sheila E.), a fortune teller, for help. Anna suggests a shocking solution: If Jimmy dies, Theresa will be considered a virgin again. Those words set Mary spiraling down a dark path of revenge. Based on a true story, Nobody Dumps My Daughter is directed by Stanley M. Brooks (Bad Romance: The Vicky White Story) and features Hudson Williams (Heated Rivalry) ballin’ out in a vest.

Nobody Dumps My Daughter is based on the real-life 1993 case of Joey Fischer. Fischer, at the time a high school student in Brownsville, Texas, had been romantically involved with Cristina Cisneros, but, like most teenage couples, the two eventually broke up. While the pair moved on, Cristina’s superstitious mother, Dora Cisneros, could not. Consulting a fortune teller named Maria Martinez, Dora hatched multiple plots to get Fischer and her daughter back together — but when none of those plans worked, Dora committed a crime so grave it landed her a lifetime prison sentence she’s still serving out today.
