Enola Holmes
Brown produced and stars in this adaptation of Nancy Springer’s young adult detective series, which follows the titular younger sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill) as she carves her own path in the family business. After her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) goes missing, Enola sets out to find her and solve the mystery of her disappearance. And she challenges her older brother on every step of the journey.

Brown is back as Enola Holmes in this sequel, and she’s launched her own detective agency. She’s tasked with tracking down a missing person, only to realize a much larger conspiracy beneath the surface. Enola goes on a twisty journey of self-discovery, crossing paths with brother Sherlock (Cavill) throughout her investigation. The two siblings must work together to solve the complicated case.

Adventure chases Brown’s Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before. In the threequel, Enola heads to the altar to wed Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), only to learn the distressing news that Sherlock (Cavill) has been kidnapped. The gumshoe is immediately on the case, all while grappling with her complicated feelings around marriage. Romance, danger, and action are afoot.
Damsel
Brown flips the script on the traditional fairy-tale narrative, showing that sometimes the only person who can save you is yourself. She plays Elodie, who finds herself in quite a predicament after her handsome prince-to-be (Nick Robinson) sacrifices her to a terrifying dragon in order to pay back an ancient family debt. Elodie is thrust into the giant creature’s lair and left to her own devices. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s film is filled with energy and tension as Elodie fights tooth and nail for her life.
The Electric State
This sci-fi adventure takes place after a catastrophic war between humans and robots leaves the world in shambles. Brown plays Michelle, who embarks on a perilous journey across the American West, accompanied by a mysterious toy robot (voiced by Anthony Mackie) and a roguish smuggler (Chris Pratt). Together, they’ll unravel a mechanical conspiracy at the center of the American heartland. Joe and Anthony Russo (The Gray Man) direct this adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s 2018 graphic novel.
Stranger Things
Stranger Things is considered Brown’s breakout role — and for good reason. She worked on this sci-fi series for a decade, growing up alongside her beloved character, Eleven, a young girl with supernatural abilities and a big heart. The series kicks off with a group of friends (Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo, alongside Brown) searching for their missing pal (Noah Schnapp). As the show progresses, they travel across state lines and dimensional planes to fight supernatural forces that threaten what matters most to them: their friends.
