Say Goodbye to ‘Grace and Frankie’ with One Last Blooper Reel

How many Jane Fonda F-bombs can you catch?

Lily Tomlin melts into a plush chair as if she’s about to faint. Her arm is dramatically draped over her face. “Oh, I’m sorry, I forget my things,” she sighs. “And it’s not because I’m old. It’s because I never learned them!” A Frankie Bergstein line if we ever heard one. But Tomlin isn’t scripted at this moment — she’s speaking from the heart. Welcome to the Grace and Frankie Season 7 blooper reel, where few people ever learned their “things” (or, as most folks call them, lines) and everyone is prone to fits of giggles.

The new video, released as a capper to the Netflix Is a Joke Festival, gives fans a peek at the scenes that landed on the cutting room floor of their favorite buddy comedy, which ended with the recently released second half of Season 7. Tomlin and co-star Jane Fonda — the Grace Hanson to Tomlin’s Frankie — lovingly poke fun at each other. At one point in the reel, Fonda asks between takes, “Can I do better, or is it just Lily?” Meanwhile, Tomlin playfully asks Fonda if she’s that kind of actress (making it clear that no one would ever voluntarily say yes to such a question). Through it all, these two still have plenty of shade to toss, even seven seasons in.

While Tomlin and Fonda are the stars of the blooper show, their co-stars also find chances to shine. Martin Sheen, who plays Grace’s ex Robert, can’t remember Belarusian geography for the life of him, and Peter Gallagher, who portrays Grace’s other ex Nick, shocks even himself with a fake kiss. If anything, you need to watch the video below to see just how awry a sibling fight between Grace and Frankie daughters Brooklyn Decker and June Diane Raphael can go. In other words, this is exactly the goodbye that Grace and Frankie deserves.
