Get ready to outrun even more teen zombies, because All of Us Are Dead is now in production for Season 2. Catch a glimpse of the returning cast in a special sneak peek of the table read at the top of this page.

Season 1 of the South Korean thriller series, which premiered in 2022, captivated viewers with its catastrophic coming-of-age story in which teens at Hyosan High band together to survive a zombie outbreak. When their school became ground zero, the students have to protect one another to make it out alive — though some don’t. As they’re already contending with messy love triangles, school bullies, and teen angst, dodging flesh-eating zombies should be the last thing these students have to deal with.

Based on a webtoon by Joo Dong-geun, the first season was an international success, ranking among Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched non-English series of all time after charting in the Top 10 in more than 90 countries.

Who’s coming back for All of Us Are Dead Season 2?

Returning to face the next wave of chaos for Season 2 are original cast members Park Ji-hu (playing Nam On-jo), Yoon Chan-young (Lee Cheong-san), Cho Yi-hyun (Choi Nam-ra), and Lomon (Lee Su-Hyeok), who reprise their roles as the resilient survivors of the original outbreak at Hyosan High. They’ll be joined by Lee Min-jae (Weak Hero: Class 2), Kim Si-eun (Squid Game Season 2), Roh Jae-won (Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3), and Yoon Ga-i. As the zombie outbreak spreads beyond the high school and into fresh territory, these new characters will find themselves drawn into the deadly struggle for survival.

What’s next for the survivors in All of Us Are Dead?

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 picks up with Nam On-jo studying at university in Seoul, still haunted by trauma and loss she endured. Just as she’s trying to move forward, a new outbreak erupts in the city, forcing her — and new university friends Yong Ma-ru (Lee Min-jae), So Ju-ran (Kim Si-eun), and Lee Jong-ah (Yoon Ga-i) — into a desperate fight for their lives.

Meanwhile, Lee Cheong-san, Choi Nam-ra, and Lee Su-hyeok each grapple with the aftermath of the disaster and the ways it’s shaped the course of their lives in the years since the original outbreak. Han Doo-seok (Roh Jae-won) steps into the story as a team leader within the National Intelligence Service.

Season 2 will once again be directed by Lee JQ (Daily Dose of Sunshine) and Kim Nam-su, with returning writer Chun Sung-il (King the Land) penning the script.

Stay tuned for more updates on All of Us Are Dead as production progresses on Season 2 (and head here to rewatch Season 1 while you wait).
