    Nonnas Feasts Again, with Second Week at No. 1

    Plus: Viewers keep falling for Forever, while also tuning in for a slate of can’t-miss documentaries.

Nonnas, the heartfelt drama starring Vince Vaughn, got a second helping of first place on the English film charts with 20 million views, making it the most watched title of the week. Audiences continued to connect with this story about dealing with the grief of losing a loved one through food, community, and family traditions. Fans also got the chance to step into the kitchen, with their favorite stars from the film sharing their most beloved recipes.

In English TV, viewers continued to fall in love with Forever, which Time called “One of TV’s All-Time Best Romances.” Mara Brock Akil’s adaptation of Judy Blume’s timeless young adult novel of the same name came in at No. 3 with 6.7 million views. The already beloved series about the joys and heartaches of first love has been renewed for a second season. Still, some relationships don’t last forever — just ask the longtime friends in The Four Seasons, who must navigate a shifting group dynamic when one of the three married couples announces they’re splitting up. The comedy series created byTina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield remained a hit last week, earning another 5.3 million views and the No. 4 slot on the list. Start packing for the next weekend getaway, because The Four Seasons will also return for a second season

In non-English TV, the Danish drama Secrets We Keep didn’t remain under wraps for long — the series debuted at No. 1 with 10.3 million views and was a hit among critics. And speaking of secrets, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) has a lot of them. Over the course of five seasons, fans of You learned from Joe that loving someone means you’ll do anything for them, for better or worse — and, on the edge of their seats, they continued tuning into Season 5 (No. 6, 3.3 million views).

While viewers tuned in to a variety of genres last week, they were especially drawn to documentaries. In English TV, American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden took the top spot in its first week, with 12.6 million views, followed by the grisly true story of two of the UK’s most prolific murderers in Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story, which premiered at No. 2 (8.3 million views). And in English film, audiences continued to search for answers in the true-crime documentary A Deadly American Marriage (No. 2), which garnered another 12.8 million views in its second week. Plus, viewers couldn’t look away from influencer Brian Johnson’s raw meat diet, with Untold: The Liver King debuting at No. 4 (5 million views). 

Finally, music fans turned up the volume with Karol G: Tomorrow Was BeautifulThe documentary about the Colombian singer’s history-making global stadium tour remained a superstar in non-English Film, coming in at No. 5 with 3 million views. 

Last but not least, the non-English film list saw an action-packed week as viewers stayed glued to all three installments of the French action movies Lost Bullet (2.3 million views), Lost Bullet 2 (2.3 million views), and Last Bullet (7.7 million views)And the German action-thriller Exterritorial rose to No. 6 on the Most Popular Non-English Film list after racking up a total of 71 million views in three weeks.
