Adolescence debuted less than a month ago and has already reached No. 4 on the Most Popular English TV list, up five spots from its place at No. 9 last week. The gripping limited series has now topped 114 million views. As its viewership grows and the critical and cultural conversation around it continues — it was No. 1 again this week on the English TV list, with 17.8 million views — the series is also being made available to stream in secondary schools across the UK.

And over in film, it’s official: Sofia Carson is a Netflix megastar, and her latest role as Alex Rose in The Life List — a heartfelt exploration of loss, love, and personal rediscovery — has Gen Z rethinking everything, from bad relationships to life goals and everything in between. Racking up 29.2 million views this week, The Life List remains at No. 1 on the English films list, precisely where it debuted a week ago.

The medical drama Pulse also delivered a fresh diagnosis for the genre. Netflix’s first-ever English-language medical procedural is a fast-paced and high-stakes series where every second (and every heartbeat) matters, and it’s currently sitting at No. 3 on the English TV list (6.5 million views, Top 10 in 77 countries globally). If you love TV doctors as much as the Pulse cast loves TV doctors, it’s a must-watch.

Documentary series Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer, from two-time Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning director Liz Garbus (Lost Girls), also made a strong debut, arriving at No. 2 on the English TV list with 13 million views in its first week. Uzo Aduba’s White House whodunit The Residence continued its residency in the Top 10, sitting at No. 5 (4.6 million views). And adult animation title Devil May Cry proves that angst, attitude, and a stylish trench coat play well in every time zone. It racked up 5.3 million views in its first week streaming, hitting No. 4 and making the Top 10 in 87 countries. (Its release even boosted sales of the Devil May Cry video game series on Steam.) Demons beware.

Back in Action’s move up the Most Popular English Film chart pulls no punches: Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s spy comedy rose to the No. 6 spot, with 144.6 million views.  And the Mexican action thriller Counterattack broke into the Most Popular Non-English Film list at No. 10, with 58.1 million views.

Harlan Coben’s latest Netflix adaptation, Caught (No. 3, 4.6 million views), continues to perform well on the non-English TV chart — everyone loves a twisty mystery, and few are better at writing them than Coben — but this week’s top spot belongs to When Life Gives You Tangerines (No. 1, 5.4 million views). The critically acclaimed Korean slice-of-life romance shifts between time and place — from the small town of Dodong-ri on Jeju Island to the bustling city of Seoul, starting in the 1960s and spanning 50 years — detailing the life and times of Oh Ae-sun (played by IU) and love interest Yang Gwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum).

And it isn’t the only K-drama having a moment: Karma (3.6 million views) debuted at No. 5 on the non-English TV charts, while Revelations (2 million views) continued its strong showing on the non-English movie list at No. 4.
