The true-crime documentary zooms in on a deceptive woman in a small East Texas town who seems to have the perfect relationship and an impending pregnancy. When she’s pulled over by a state trooper, she says she’s just given birth in her car — but her story doesn’t add up.
Audiences continue to flock to engrossing animated movies. The animal fantasy flick Swapped soared into its seventh week on the list, landing in the No. 3 spot with 5.7 million views. And the musical adventure KPop Demon Hunters, which took the No. 6 spot with 3.6 million views, made Netflix history by remaining in the Top 10 list for 52 consecutive weeks.
The Witness climbed to the No. 1 spot on the English TV list, collecting 10.1 million views. The three-episode drama series portrays the aftermath of the 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell — her 2-year-old son, Alex Hanscombe, was the only witness. The series’ exploration of the flawed investigation is informed by the experiences of Alex and Rachel’s partner, André Hanscombe.
Michael Jackson: The Verdict took the No. 2 spot on the list with 7.2 million views. The three-part docuseries looks back at the case that became one of the most closely watched legal sagas of all time, featuring insights from key individuals who were inside the courtroom.
The fifth season of Sweet Magnolias premiered in the No. 4 spot on the list, gathering 2.8 million views. The heartfelt drama series centers on three childhood best friends — played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley, and Brooke Elliott — as they juggle relationships, family, and careers in their charming hometown of Serenity, South Carolina.
Speaking of a tight-knit group, the second season of The Four Seasons traveled to the No. 5 spot on the list, with 2.8 million views. The series, which has been renewed for Season 3, depicts close friends and their partners on various vacations. Together, they process a personal loss and embrace the regrets and reinventions of middle age.
The heist drama Nemesis stole a spot on the list for a fifth consecutive week, taking No. 7 with 2.1 million views. And the comedy special Tony Hinchcliffe: Man of the People premiered at No. 9, with 1.6 million views.
Colors of Evil: Black premiered at the top of the non-English film list with 14.1 million views. Based on Małgorzata Oliwia Sobczak’s books, the Polish mystery thriller follows prosecutor Leopold Bilski (Jakub Gierszał) as he investigates the disappearance of a young boy from a sleepy town. The sequel’s premiere drove Colors of Evil: Red — which follows Bilski’s mission to solve identical murders committed 15 years apart — back into the Top 10. It nabbed the No. 6 spot with 1.4 million views.
Another crime thriller, The Marked Woman, claimed the No. 2 spot on the list with 13.8 million views. The Spanish-language movie follows a young woman who’s found bound inside a shipping container with no memory of how she got there and the two detectives racing against the clock to stop her captors before they can strike again.
Teach You a Lesson was top of the class on the non-English TV list with 21.1 million views. The action-packed K-drama follows members of a secretive government agency who step in with unconventional tactics when school bullies wreak havoc on students and teachers alike.
