Bandidos
In the action-adventure series Bandidos from Adrian Grünberg and Javier Ruiz Caldera, a ragtag crew of bounty hunters search for the biggest treasure in human history. Though they have the key to secure the bag — a treasure map that takes them to ancient ruins and tropical locales — they’ve got some dangerous competition. Along the way, the group must traverse across the Mexican Caribbean with their heads on a swivel.
The Perfect Dictatorship
In the film The Perfect Dictatorship, starring Damián Alcázar (Acapulco), Alfonso Herrera (Ozark), and Joaquín Cosío (Savages), a TV conglomerate must rework the image of a notoriously corrupt politician who accepts a massive bribe. The political satire from director Luis Estrada (Hell) is based on the real-life story of Televisa, a network accused of planting stories to bolster candidate Enrique Peña Nieto’s 2012 presidential campaign.
