Netflix Puzzled: Scattergories is the word game you know and love, but now you can play wherever you want, without carrying around the 20-sided die. Here’s how it works: Every day, there’s a curated theme (such as “Staying in,” “Houseplants,” “Books,” and “Video games,” among many others) that players have to solve, coming up with clever combinations of words that start with the letter of the day.
Rather than hunting for points, your goal is to provide an answer that the judge deems good. For instance, if the letter is B, Black Beauty is an easy win, but creative entries are where the game truly shines. Suggesting a mini-rocket for transport might get you a passing grade and a cheeky comment: “Sounds unlicensed and terrifying, but I’ll allow it.”
Oh, and you’ve got 120 seconds to do it. No pressure. Once you solve it, you can share your results for ultimate bragging rights, along with how many (or few) wrong answers it took you to get there.

Compared to the classic, the Puzzled version of Scattergories brings a truncated 120-second time limit to the (virtual) table and is a bit more forgiving, as you aren’t restricted by a set number of attempts for each category. At launch, the categories are all themed around the living room, presenting players with a description and an image of common household items.
However, the real secret sauce is the game’s witty adjudicator, the Scattergories Head! Rather than just checking off a list, the game actually reacts to your creativity. Every answer you submit is met with a personalized reflection — whether it’s a standard “good job” for a solid answer or a cheeky, tailored remark for a more outside-the-box entry. If you suggest something unconventional, don’t be surprised if the game responds with a bit of humor, acknowledging your wit while accepting the answer.
Beyond the banter, you’ll see a different puzzle every day for the first two weeks. Solve one, and you’ll unlock another living room item to tackle. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll spot a few familiar faces from your favorite Netflix shows and movies as you play. There are bound to be a few surprises — you’ll just have to keep playing to see who (or what) pops up.

Netflix Puzzled’s Scattergories refreshes every day! For the first two weeks you’ll see the above living room themes front and center, and after that we’ll feature topics like vegetables, cheese, types of fish, restaurants, and European cities. The living room collection will be a permanent addition after launch, so don’t worry about your cozy favorites disappearing any time soon.
Play right now on Tudum and the Netflix Puzzled app.
