‘Pressure Cooker’ Turns Up the Heat on Your Typical Food Competition Show

The new series puts competitors in a house together to determine who is the ultimate chef’s chef.

    Dec. 9, 2022

Being a successful chef isn’t always about creating the perfect bite; it’s also about being a motivational leader, a creative problem solver and a person whom others like to be around.

Eleven professional chefs learn this lesson the hard (and delicious) way in a brand-new series, Pressure Cooker. Unlike typical cooking competition shows, these chefs will not only work together but also live together in this first-of-its-kind setup. Over a number of weeks, competitors will cook and cohabit with one another as they fight to become the ultimate chef’s chef. They’ll need to balance earning the respect and admiration of their peers with creating a successful strategy that will keep them in the game. Because, the thing is, the judges are one another — so the knives are almost certain to come out.

Catch Pressure Cooker when it premieres on Netflix on Jan 6. Until then, sharpen your blades and prepare for the drama and dishes that lie ahead.
