It’s almost time to say goodbye to Thomas Shelby and his clan of Peaky Blinders, but before the final season of the acclaimed series wraps up, there are just a few more double crosses in store. And in order to keep track of just who’s double-crossing whom, you’ll need to be able to tell your Shelbys from your Solomonses. To help you in that mission, we’ve pieced together a definitive guide to the criminal element of Birmingham.

Murphy plays the leading man and beating heart of Peaky Blinders, the head of the notorious Shelby crime family. In Season 6, he’s reckoning with his failed suicide attempt and his continuing guilt over a failed assassination attempt that led to the death of his aunt Polly (Helen McCrory, whose tragic real-life passing hangs over this season). Murphy is well known for his long-running collaboration with Christopher Nolan in films like Inception, Dunkirk and Batman Begins (featuring Murphy’s unforgettable pronunciation of the word “Batman”). He’s also a deliriously sociopathic killer stalking Rachel McAdams in Red Eye. But perhaps his least-known role? Lead singer in the rock band Sons of Mr. Green Genes; the group even turned down a five-album record deal in favor of Murphy beginning his acting career.

As Arthur Shelby, Anderson begins Season 6 trapped in a spiraling drug addiction that jeopardizes his marriage and his relationship with brother and gang leader, Tommy. Anderson has also appeared in films such as Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Revenant and British historical drama ’71.

Ada, the sole sister of the Shelby family, takes on new responsibilities in Season 6 as Tommy cares for his ill daughter. Rundle is known for films like The Midnight Sky and television shows like Episodes. But outside of the Peaky world, she’s best known for her performance as Vicky, the estranged wife of Richard Madden’s character on Bodyguard.

Arthur’s wife, Linda, is a devout and loyal partner who, in Season 6, has nonetheless left her husband after dealing with his infidelity and the rampant criminal habits of his family for years. Phillips also played Venetia Scott on The Crown and Eliza Scarlet on Miss Scarlet and the Duke.

A cousin to the Shelby family and their Aunt Polly’s biological son, Michael is on the warpath in Season 6, blaming Tommy for the death of his mother. Cole also played Joshua Cody on Animal Kingdom and made the leap to Hollywood blockbusters when he played a young John Cena in the ninth Fast & Furious film.

The rising star (most recently seen in The Northman and Last Night in Soho) plays Michael’s ambitious American wife, who clashed with Tommy in Season 5 over the operation of the Peaky Blinders’ company. She’s also appeared in projects like the eerie and violent Thoroughbreds, young Barack Obama biopic Barry, and, of course, The Queen’s Gambit.

Tom Hardy loves to do silly voices. Think of his guttural murmur in Mad Max: Fury Road, his borderline incomprehensible growl in The Revenant or even his dual Muppet impressions in the Venom films. His role as Jewish gang leader Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders is no exception. You would be forgiven for believing that Hardy is an American putting on a Cockney drawl to have a laugh at British people’s expense. But nope, he was born in London — he just likes to have some fun.

O’Keeffe plays Tommy’s second wife, an ex-prostitute struggling to keep their family together as Tommy pines after his deceased first wife, Grace. O’Keeffe previously played a London superheroine on Misfits and appeared as the subject of a Holmes and Watson mystery in the Sherlock special “The Abominable Bride.”

The youngest Shelby sibling, Finn ended the previous season by accidentally leaking the Peaky Blinders’ assassination plan to their enemies. Kirton is a relative newcomer to acting; Peaky Blinders is his first major role.

The chameleonic Claflin plays a fascist leader and one of the Blinders’ most dangerous opponents. After surviving their attempt on his life in Season 5, Mosley is only more determined to drive wedges between the family. Claflin is also known for his fan-favorite role as Finnick in The Hunger Games series, as well as for his performance as Mycroft Holmes in Enola Holmes.

A new addition to the Peaky ensemble, Graham plays Hayden Stagg, a union official who takes on the Blinders when he steals drugs from their operation. Graham is no stranger to crime sagas; he’s appeared in films like Snatch, Gangs of New York and, of course, The Irishman (where he was memorably scolded by Al Pacino for wearing shorts to a business meeting).
