    ‘The Harder They Fall’ Wins Big at the 2022 NAACP Image Awards

Next round at the saloon is on Jeymes Samuel. The director’s film The Harder They Fall took home the big award at the 53rd NAACP Image Awards Saturday night, winning Outstanding Motion Picture. The western also won 4 trophies earlier in the week for Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Breakthrough Creative, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, and Outstanding Soundtrack/Compilation Album (which was co-produced by Jay-Z and Samuel). 

Other wins announced earlier in the week included Danny Boyd, Jr. in Bruised for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance in a Motion Picture, High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America for Outstanding Documentary, We the People for Outstanding Animated Series, and Family Reunion for Outstanding Children’s Program.
