Myron Bolitar was going to be an NBA superstar — but fate had other plans.

Author Harlan Coben’s beloved character has a new drama series coming to Netflix from Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning writer and producer David E. Kelley (Margo's Got Money TroublesPresumed InnocentBig Little Lies) and Kyle Long (Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., Suits). Kelley and Long will co-showrun, co-write, and co-executive produce Myron Bolitar, bringing the character to life. The series will follow Bolitar, now a sports agent who represents his clients with the same passion he used to bring to the basketball court.

First appearing in 1995’s Deal Breaker, Bolitar has gone on to appear in 12 of Coben’s novels, where he’s found himself investigating blackmail attempts, murder, and more. Not quite what the job description entails, but a good agent gets the job done — no matter what.

The series marks a continued expansion of Netflix and Harlan Coben’s creative partnership, who will create series projects for Netflix.

Myron Bolitar is executive produced by Matthew Tinker (Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent) for David E. Kelley Prods and Rick Muirragui (Suits, Whiskey Cavelier), as well as Coben, who will also executive produce the Bolitar series through his Final Twist Productions.

“What an honor — not to mention, great fun — it is to partner up at Netflix with legend David E. Kelley and his remarkable team on this exciting new series,” says Coben. “The Myron Bolitar books mean a great deal to me, and I'm thrilled to have such a talented and inspired group bringing them to life.”

Jinny Howe, Netflix’s Head of Series, U.S. and Canada, says, "After a decade and 11 series together, we’re honored that Harlan Coben has entrusted Netflix with his most personal and iconic character, Myron Bolitar. Bringing this story to the screen has been a big priority for us, and we knew that finding the right creative partners was essential. It’s been a dream to collaborate with David E. Kelley — a true master of the genre, and the talented Kyle Long on this series. This is a major milestone for our partnership, and we look forward to many more years of working together."
