Myron Bolitar was going to be an NBA superstar — but fate had other plans.

Author Harlan Coben’s beloved character has a new drama series coming to Netflix from Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning writer and producer David E. Kelley (Margo's Got Money TroublesPresumed InnocentBig Little Lies) and Kyle Long (Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., Suits). Kelley and Long will co-showrun, co-write, and co-executive produce Myron Bolitar, bringing the character to life.

Starring as Myron Bolitar is Colin Woodell (Pulse, The Continental), who plays the former college basketball star whose NBA career came to an abrupt end. The series follows Myron after he’s reinvented himself as a sports agent.

Also starring in Myron Bolitar are KJ Apa (The Map That Leads to You, Riverdale) and Diane Guerrero (Orange Is the New Black, The Lincoln Lawyer). Joining Woodell, Apa, and Guerrero are Jabari Banks (Bel Air), Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live, The Dink), and Jamie McShane (Task, Wednesday) who will be series regulars, and Ben McKenzie (Everyone is Lying to You for Money, Gotham), who will be a recurring guest star.

First appearing in 1995’s Deal Breaker, Bolitar has gone on to appear in 12 of Coben’s novels, where he’s found himself investigating blackmail attempts, murder, and more. Not quite what the job description entails, but a good agent gets the job done — no matter what.

Myron Bolitar has now begun production in New York, and you can see behind the scenes photos from the first table read of Coben, Kelley, and the cast above and below. The series marks a continued expansion of Netflix and Harlan Coben’s creative partnership, which will yield several new series projects.

Myron Bolitar is executive produced by Matthew Tinker (Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent) for David E. Kelley Productions and Rick Muirragui (Suits, Whiskey Cavalier), as well as Coben, who will also executive produce the Bolitar series through his Final Twist Productions. Greg Yaitanes (Presumed Innocent, House of the Dragon) will also executive produce, as well as direct several episodes.

“What an honor — not to mention, great fun — it is to partner up at Netflix with legend David E. Kelley and his remarkable team on this exciting new series,” says Coben. “The Myron Bolitar books mean a great deal to me, and I'm thrilled to have such a talented and inspired group bringing them to life.”

Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of series, US and Canada, says, "After a decade and 11 series together, we’re honored that Harlan Coben has entrusted Netflix with his most personal and iconic character, Myron Bolitar. Bringing this story to the screen has been a big priority for us, and we knew that finding the right creative partners was essential. It’s been a dream to collaborate with David E. Kelley — a true master of the genre, and the talented Kyle Long on this series. This is a major milestone for our partnership, and we look forward to many more years of working together."
