It was a night full of chills, thrills and forever fandom in Atlanta for Geeked Week 2024. And host Joe Manganiello shepherded us through it all.

“It’s a fun atmosphere to be around,” Manganiello told Netflix before hitting the stage. “Being here, part of this celebration of nerd and geekdom — it’s big, it’s mainstream. There’s no stigma attached to it the way there was when we were kids.”

Manganiello kicked off the live show — donning a Squid Game tracksuit — with special correspondent Cobra Kai stars Jacob Bertrand and Xolo Maridueña, who shared a behind-the-scenes blooper reel from Season 6, Part 1. “They’re my Magic the Gathering buddies,” he said.

And over the course of two hours, he broke some big news: Avatar: The Last Airbender’s casting Miya Cech as Toph, clips from upcoming thriller films It’s What’s Inside and Don’t Move, and a major announcement about Season 7 of Black Mirror. Charlie Brooker also took the stage to reveal what fans can expect from the new season: “We have evolved to a place where it’s kind of OG Black Mirror this season. It’s all sci-fi, it’s all techno dystopia — back to basics in a way.”

Before the night ended, Manganiello shared some massive news of his own, announcing that he’ll take on the role of Mr. 0 in One Piece Season 2. “Thank you [Elichiro] Oda, thank you to the fans — to be trusted with one of the greatest characters ever in manga, fantasy, you name it — I’ve been waiting for this my entire career. And to do it in front of a fanbase like this? Let’s go.”

Plus, there were announcements about new games, returning favorites, and a whole bunch of exciting Netflix stars that took the stage. Check out the class of Geeked Week 2024.
