Get ready to join the rebellion! Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game is a brand-new, four-player co-op action RPG that drops you right into the heart of the fight against the tyrannical Motherworld. Available exclusively and free for Netflix subscribers, this game offers unique class-based gameplay and an original story within Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon universe. If you're eager to dive in and unleash destruction on the robot army, here are five tips to help you maximize your playing experience.

So whether you’ve never watched the Rebel Moon movies — or you’re a big fan but unfamiliar with the fast-paced action-RPG genre — read on for five strategies that’ll send your foes retreating from the frontlines.

1. Try all four unique classes.

Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game presents players with a quartet of class-based characters — Bannerguard, Evoker, Forsaken, and Kindred. But you needn’t pick just one. In fact, plan on experimenting with all four of them, as each supports a unique play style and leverages discipline-specific weapons, abilities, and special powers: Leap into the fray as Bannerguard, snipe with deadly arrows as the Kindred, blast with devastating lightning strikes as the Evoker, and assassinate enemies as the Forsaken."

Regularly swapping between warriors will allow you to level each one up, apply their various upgrades, and get to know their combat styles. While you’re welcome to focus on a favorite, it’s a great idea to be proficient with them, as different mission objectives might call on specific skills. Feeling comfortable behind the firepower of all four classes could also come in handy if you’re ever called upon to join a co-op rebellion.

2. Explore the Rebel base.

Given the satisfyingly fast-paced cadence of the combat, it can be tempting to dive into one action-packed quest after another. But you’ll want to take a breather between objectives to explore your homebase. The hub world continually evolves, adding vendors, quest-givers, and other key interactions the deeper you get into the campaign.

This is also the area where you can swap between characters and, crucially, evolve them through various progression paths. The Loadout and Domains stations are especially important, as entering these interfaces allows you to apply upgrades, unlock new weapons, choose abilities, and invest currencies and resources.

3. Go off the beaten path.

The bulk of your time in missions is spent unloading everything you’ve got into hordes of aggressive enemies hitting you from all sides. But during those rare moments when your path isn’t blocked by a metallic menace eager to turn you inside out, you’ll want to scout for resources and supplies.

These salvageable items — often hidden in destructible crates or barrels — are integral to fueling your characters’ various progression paths, and making them more powerful. Fulfilling your objective goals is important, but you’ll also want to ensure you’ve filled your inventory with goodies before completing missions.

Of course, you’re also free to return to previously conquered quests to double-dip on resources. It’s a great idea to revisit these completed objectives to hasten your characters’ progress. Because you’ve likely leveled up since first tackling these missions, they should also be a snap to complete a second time around.

4. There’s strength in numbers.

Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game can be played solo, but it also supports four-player co-op. As such, you can put together a rebellion of up to four friends, or hop online and find a random stranger who’s ready to fight by your side.

The inherent teamwork dynamic that spawns from squadding up can make for more engaging battles. But it’s also smart to join some buddies who’ll have your back when the challenge ramps up. If you’re typically a lone wolf who suddenly finds your path challenged by a powerful boss, there’s nothing wrong with recruiting some like-minded rebels — even temporarily — to get over the hump.

5. Watch the Rebel Moon movies.

If you’ve mastered Blood Line’s gameplay and are craving a fresh way to connect with its rich sci-fi universe, you might want to give the Rebel Moon movies a watch. While the two films, Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire and Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver, are not required viewing to enjoy the game, they’ll give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of the universe, its planets, and primary players, many of which are referenced in Blood Line
