With the San-Ti barreling toward Earth, our terrestrial heroes are calling in reinforcements for 3 Body Problem’s second season.
The mind-bending sci-fi series — from co-creators, writers, and executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones) and Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy, True Blood) — has added two more series regulars to the ensemble.
Claudia Doumit (SOULM8TE, The Boys) joins the cast as Captain Van Rijn, while Ellie de Lange (Run Away, Wolf Hall And The Serpent) will portray Ayla.
Plus, Alfie Allen (Atomic, Game of Thrones, SAS Rogue Heroes), David Yip (The Chinese Detective, A View to a Kill), and Jordan Sunshine (The Pitt Season 2, Wonder Pets) are set for recurring roles.

Based on the bestselling novels by Cixin Liu, 3 Body Problem explores how humanity chooses to respond to its gravest threat: the San-Ti aliens who plan to invade Earth when they arrive in 400 years.
Executive producers include Bernadette Caulfield (Game of Thrones, The X-Files); Duncan Muggoch; T-Street’s Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi), Ram Bergman and Nena Rodrigue; Qi Lin, the late former chairman of Yoozoo Group; Jilong Zhao, CEO of the rights-holder, Three-Body Universe; Plan B Entertainment's Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner; and Primitive Streak’s Rosamund Pike and Robie Uniacke.
Jeremy Podeswa and Miguel Sapochnik will direct and also serve as executive producers.
Season 1 of 3 Body Problem is now streaming on Netflix.
